Alex is a comprehensive, fee-only financial planner. Alex made a career move into personal financial planning and investment management after 10 years in investment banking and corporate finance to find more meaning in his work and better match his personality and interests to his career. It’s worked out better than he could have imagined.
Alex has experience with all phases of comprehensive financial planning including customized financial plan design, investment planning, retirement and income planning in getting clients to and through retirement.
He believes the process begins by learning about his clients’ financial aspirations and understanding their short-term and long-term goals. From there he uses planning tools to create a financial plan to help towards achieving those goals.
Alex earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Purdue University and his Master’s in Finance and Fiscal Policy from Cornell University. Alex also completed the process of becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
During his free time, Alex enjoys traveling and seeing the different parts of the country and world. Alex also helps candidates with exam preparation for the CFP® national exam, is engaged with organizations addressing wealth disparity, and does pro bono financial planning with CASH Campaign that promotes economic advancement for low-to-moderate income individuals and families.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
